  The owner Tracy is friendly, present and hands-on - and it shows. The staff is friendly and she treats them well. The coffee and pastries: outstanding quality. Viennese pastries made with high-quality ingredients and passion, make up a simple and reliable menu. Perfect morning or midday break. Convenient Penn Quarter location in the midst of lots to see and do. Enjoy!

  The service was fast, the cashier and staff knew what they were doing. I came at about 10 am so the flow of customers was steady but not exceptionally busy.
  
  I got the butterkuchen and a large mocha. They were both well done; I would definitely return for the butterkuchen again. I spoke with another customer who had the ham and egg breakfast sandwich and she said it was delicious. The pricing is on par with Starbucks, but the quality is better, so I have no complaints.
  
  They have an ample amount of nicely sized tables, and can be a great place to get work done as they have plugs under the tables.
  
  Unfortunately, I am not a resident of DC, or I would definitely utilize their stamp card.
